Taylor Swift‘s re-recorded 1989 album has re-written Spotify history by becoming the most-streamed record in a day, and more importantly, achieved the feat in its first 24 hours of release.

Spotify announced on Saturday (Oct. 28) that the 21-track 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which arrived on October 27th, is officially the most-streamed album in a single day in the streaming service’s history.

Spotify also said that Swift has become the most-streamed artist in a single day with the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Swift has now replaced herself as the most-streamed artist record holder after capturing the title with her 10th studio album, Midnights, in October 2022.

The new version of 1989 features newly recorded editions of all 13 original songs, plus three bonus tracks (“Wonderland,” “New Romantics” and “You Are In Love”) and five cuts from the “Vault” (“Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” “Suburban Legends” and “Slut!”).

1989, which was originally released in 2014, earned Swift the Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album awards at the 2016 Grammys.
