Taylor Swift’s ‘Evermore’ Breaks Record For Single-Week Vinyl Sales

Taylor Swift has broken the record for single-week vinyl album sales with Evermore.

The album, which was originally released in December 2020, only arrived on vinyl last Friday, May 28. However, in just three days, the album recorded sales of over 40,000 copies in the U.S., according to Billboard.

This beats the record for an entire single-week of vinyl sales, previously held by Jack White‘s Lazaretto, which had debuted with 40,000 copies in the week ending June 15, 2014.

It is obvious that Evermore‘s vinyl sales will grow further by the end of the tracking week on Thursday, June 3.

The album had debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart when it was initially released on streaming services and as a commercial digital album on December 11, 2020.

Prior to White’s record, Pearl Jam held the title with their 1994 album Vitalogy, which recorded sales of 34,000 copies in one week.
