Morgan Wallen Sings Hits During Surprise Appearance At Luke Bryan Concert

Country singer Morgan Wallen made a surprise appearance at Luke Bryan‘s concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Friday (July 30).

Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard also made cameo appearances at the show.

“So a really good friend of mine is here backstage,” Aldean said before Wallen’s entrance. “Do I need another tequila shot to get through this?” Bryan asked.

Wallen, who entered wearing a black T-shirt and a backwards baseball cap along with his guitar, was greeted with a lengthy, roaring standing ovation by the crowd at Bridgestone Arena. He joined Bryan, Aldean and Hubbard on stage to do celebratory shots and sing a couple of his biggest hits.

This is the third time Wallen has made an appearance at an event after his “N-word” controversy.

In June, Wallen performed at the afterparty of the inaugural Brett Boyer Foundation Invitational. The embattled country singer performed his hit song “Whiskey Glasses” as well as “Thought You Should Know.” In May, Wallen had performed at Kid Rock‘s Nashville bar.

In February, the singer created a huge controversy after he was caught on camera shouting expletives and using the “N-word.” He later issued an apology. But, he still had to face repercussions for his actions.

Wallen was suspended by his label, Big Loud Records and removed from iHeartMedia and Entercom radio stations as well as CMT. He was also banned from several award shows, including the Billboard Music Awards, ACM Awards and CMA awards.

However, despite being in the midst of the controversy, Wallen’s second album Dangerous: The Double Album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January, spent an unprecedented 10 straight weeks atop the chart.
