Luke Combs shared a nostalgic video for “Lovin’ on You,” the fourth single from his 2019 album, What You See Is What You Get, on Wednesday (September 9).
The video, directed by Tyler Adams and produced by Aaron Conner of TA Films, features a cameo from Combs’ wife Nicole Hocking.
After uploading the video, Combs wrote on Instagram, “The ‘Lovin’ on You’ music video is out now! Had a blast making it with my beautiful wife @nicohocking, the band, and some younger versions of all of us. Check it out and let me know what y’all think.”
The visual starts with a young Combs, wearing his signature fishing shirt, attending the birthday party of a girl named Nicole (a younger version of Hocking) with a present in his hand.
After an attempt at roller skating, Luke tries his luck at the arcade games and redeems the tickets he wins there to buy pink-laced roller skates Nicole was eyeing. The video then shows the girl as Nicole Hocking, who does a cameo as a rink worker.
Although the clip features Combs’ entire crew, the action centers around the younger versions of the singer and his wife. The visual shows Dan Isbell serving as the DJ.
Combs had already released two videos – an acoustic video and a lyric video – for “Lovin’ on You.” The song is staying atop the Billboard Country Airplay chart for a second straight week.
Combs co-wrote the song with Thomas Archer, Ray Fulcher and James McNair.
