Kelly Clarkson covered “My Own Worst Enemy” during the “Kellyoke” segment of her talk show on Tuesday, September 28.

The Texas singer rocked the chart-topping hit while accompanied by her band Y’all and backup singers.

“It’s no surprise to me, I am my own worst enemy/ ‘Cause every now and then, I kick the living sh– out of me/ Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk?/ I didn’t mean to call you that,” she rocked.

“My Own Worst Enemy” is the lead single from Lit‘s second studio album, A Place In The Sun, which was released in 1999. The song peaked at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart. The song went on to win the Billboard Music Award for Modern Rock Track Of The Year at the 1999 BBMAs.

The “Kellyoke” segment has become one of the highlights of Clarkson’s talk show after the singer’s impressive covers of artists like Demi Lovato, Chris Stapleton, Jason Aldean, Kenny Rogers, The Beach Boys and many more.
