J Balvin and Jon Pardi have covered Metallica‘s “Wherever I May Roam” for the upcoming covers compilation The Metallica Blacklist.

Metallica released three versions of “Wherever I May Roam,” with two being covers by Balvin and Pardi, while the third was a previously unreleased live recording performed at Day On The Green in Oakland, California, on October 12, 1991.

The Metallica Blacklist is a tribute album celebrating the 30th anniversary of the band’s classic LP The Black Album. The band also plans to release a reissue of the classic record.

The Blacklist, along with a remastered version of the original The Black Album, will both be released on September 10 via Metallica’s Blackened Recordings.

The Metallica Blacklist will feature covers of Black Album songs performed by 53 artists. Proceeds from the record will benefit 52 charities, all chosen by the artists who contributed to the record.

Other tracks include a “Nothing Else Matters” cover by Miley Cyrus, Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Watt, Robert Trujillo, and Chad Smith; an “Enter Sandman” cover by Juanes; and a live piano cover of “Sad But True” performed by Sam Fender.
