Carrie Underwood took to Twitter on Tuesday (February 16) to share a live rendition of “The Blessing,” a song she considers very close to her heart.
“The Blessing,” which is a Christian worship song, was first released as the lead single from Elevation Worship‘s 12th live album, Greaves into Gardens last year. It featured Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes.
Underwood says the song has an emotional connection especially when her two sons, Isaiah and Jacob, sing alongside her.
“This song brings the tears every single time,” Underwood wrote on the post. “Hearing my babies sing ‘amen’ is the heavenly cherry on top!”
Underwood, who is well known for her deep Christian faith, released her first-ever full-length Christmas album, My Gift, in September 2020. Her first full gospel album, My Savior, is due out on March 26.
