Country music star Alan Jackson has postponed the final two shows of his Last Call Tour until 2023 due to health issues related to the neurological condition Charcot-Marie-Tooth.

The postponed shows were scheduled to take place on Friday, October 7 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Saturday, October 8, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“I hoped I’d be able to be there; I hate to disappoint my fans,” the Country Music Hall of Fame member said. “I tried as much as I could to play [these shows] at this time.”

Jackson has not scheduled a return date for his tour, but ticket holders for the postponed concerts were advised to hold on to their tickets because they will be honored for an unannounced date in 2023.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) is a group of inherited conditions that damage the peripheral nerves. It’s also known as hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy (HMSN) or peroneal muscular atrophy (PMA). The peripheral nerves are found outside the main central nervous system (brain and spinal cord).
