You may bump into a Hollywood celebrity in the New Bedford area soon. Emmy-winning actor James Spader purchased a home in Marion for more than $1.1 million. Spader is no stranger to SouthCoast. He grew up in North Andover, Mass., but spent summers in Marion as a child.
