4th Annual “Classic Wheels for Wishes”Car Show

The Mishnock Wish Team will sponsor its’ 4th Annual “Classic Wheels for Wishes”Car Show, which benefits Children’s Wishes of RI.  The show will take place on Sunday, August 3, 2014 on the grass at Mishnock Barn on Lake Mishnock, 200 Mishnock Rd, West Greenwich, RI.

Rain date is Saturday, August 9, 2014.

Antique Cars, Classic Cars to 1989, Rods, Muscle Cars and all-year Corvettes are invited to exhibit. Vehicle registration is from 9 AM to 12 PM, with free goody bags to the first 100 entries. The entry fee is $15.00 per car. Spectators are free to roam the show.

Enjoy oldies music by Cruisin’ Bruce Palmer. Trophies will be awarded at 2 PM in twenty-eight classes, including Best of Show, People’s Choice and Best Club Participation.

There will be door prizes and raffles, including a 50/50 raffle.

Food and refreshments will be available.

Children’s Wishes, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, grants wishes to children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years of age with life threatening illnesses here in Rhode Island.  All proceeds from the show will go to help a child who is waiting, get their wish.

Donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law.

26th Annual Walk to Benefit the Schwartz Center for Children

The Schwartz Center for Children has just kicked off its ‘Walk With Us’ online fundraising campaign, and will hold their symbolic 26th annual walk, to be held rain or shine, on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Fort Taber in New Bedford, MA.

Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. The 3.5-mile loop around Fort Taber will begin at 9:30 a.m., after a few words from New Bedford’s Mayor. Come enjoy family-friendly activities and music.
